Meet Mike
Mike Densmore is running for Mayor of Alexander City. Mike was born and raised in Alexander City. He is a graduate of Benjamin Russell High School and attended Auburn University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Mike was also a member of the football and wrestling teams at Auburn.
The Issues
Transparency and Accountability
As a public servant, your job is to listen and serve your constituents, not to silence or ignore them. Citizens should hold their leaders accountable, and city leaders should provide clear and transparent answers to those questions.
Education
I have been in a classroom. I understand the opportunities and challenges facing our students and teachers. As mayor, I will listen and work with parents, teachers, school administrators, and state leaders to provide our children with a quality education that prepares them for the real world.
Economic Development and Infrastructure
As mayor, I will leverage my three decades of business experience to support existing businesses, recruit new businesses, and foster a pro-growth environment in our city. At Goodyear, I served on the site selection team, so I know what makes a city desirable to potential investors and how to take Alex City to the next level.
Quality of Life
Alex City is a special place, and its citizens deserve a community that reflects the beauty of its people. The people of Alex City deserve clean water and affordable public utilities. As mayor, I will implement a strategic plan to beautify our community, reduce the rising cost of utilities, and improve the quality of life of our citizens.
